O-Meiji May Grand Kabuki Performance for Parents and Children
Cooperation and Support/ Osaka Shochikuza Theater, Dotonbori Museum Namikiza
Program Contents
In 1978, the "Association for the Promotion of Kabuki in Kansai" was established, and in 1997, the Osaka Shochikuza Theater was rebuilt to accommodate Kabuki performances.
In an effort to enliven the town with Kabuki, the Ebisubashi Suji Shopping Arcade has also organized "first-time Kabuki lecture" and "parent-child kabuki theater" at the Experience Expo, and held up PR banners at the early summer boat rides and the commemoration of the succession of the Kabuki master's name.
This will be the last performance at the current Osaka Shochikuza Theater, and we will hold the last program to increase the number of Kabuki fans. Before seeing the play, visitors will also enjoy an interactive museum where they can learn about the history of the theatrical district of Dotonbori.
